Application
Oil and Gas Industry: Duplex stainless steel tubing is often used in the oil and gas industry for various applications, including production tubing, flowlines, pipelines, and downhole tubular. Its high strength, corrosion resistance, and resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC) make it suitable for offshore and onshore installations, especially in harsh environments.
Chemical Processing: Duplex stainless steel tubing is employed in chemical processing industries for applications such as reactors, heat exchangers, and piping systems where resistance to corrosion from acids, chlorides, and other aggressive chemicals is required.
Desalination Plants: Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, duplex stainless steel tubing finds application in desalination plants for seawater intake and brine outfall systems, as well as for various components within the desalination process.
Pulp and Paper Industry: Duplex stainless steel tubing is utilized in the pulp and paper industry for equipment such as digesters, bleach washers, and evaporators where resistance to corrosion and erosion is essential in handling corrosive chemicals and high temperatures.
Power Generation: In power generation facilities, duplex stainless steel tubing is used in heat exchangers, condensers, and piping systems where resistance to corrosion, erosion, and high temperatures is crucial for efficient operation and longevity of equipment.
Water Treatment: Duplex stainless steel tubing is employed in water treatment facilities for piping systems, filtration equipment, and tanks where resistance to corrosion from chlorides, abrasion, and erosion is necessary for long-term performance.
Structural Applications: Duplex stainless steel tubing can be used in structural applications such as bridges, architectural components, and marine structures where high strength and corrosion resistance are required for durability and reliability.
